Wanted: Reader Input

When I started this blog in March of this year, I had many ideas about topics I could speak on and connections I could make between different abstract concepts. My primary goal was to give me something to tend to during the lockdown period, to keep my mind off how bad I knew things would get in the real world. Sadly, while the lock down has technically ended, the pandemic rages on and few people seem to care or are paying attention. In the meantime, I find it harder than I expected to keep my brain focused long enough on a topic to write something that is coherent without the post dissolving into an absolute mess by the end of the first paragraph or two. What is happening to all of us is not normal.

I have started about 15 draft posts on a variety of topics, and left them at various levels of completion, set aside as reminders of another set of things I have left unfinished. The chaos of my drafts folder mirrors that of my mind, our society and our collective psychology.

The point I’m trying to make in telling you all this is that I never really expected to have readers. Of course I did start a public blog, so it’s not like I was trying to hide, but I still don’t know if I’m putting out any “words of wisdom” that mean anything or are helpful to anyone. All I ever want to do is use my brain to help others; its my greatest asset.

So I need your help, dear readers. By know you have seen and understand a little about how my mind works, how I communicate and synthesize topics. I want to know what YOU would like to hear me spout off about. I mean, I haven’t gotten overtly political, but I would; lots of opinions and analysis there. I would love to receive some comments from anyone who reads this post about what’s on your mind and what you might want my take on. Not necessarily in an advice column sort of way, but you know. I will entertain any idea that comes in, and if it really jazzes me up, I’ll create a new draft for my drafts folder. I might even complete a coherent post on your topic of choice.

But don’t set your hopes too high. 😉
